25 weeks and growing
So I have hit 25 weeks. 14 weeks until my scheduled c-section. Yes I am counting them down. I am growing and can feel every stretch. This girl is growing like a weed. I have my appt this upcoming week but I believe I am in the neighborhood of being about 7 or 8 pounds over my pre pregnancy weight which I believe is great considering I love about 6 pounds at the beginning of this pregnancy with my sickness. The maternity clothes that I wore with Ava until almost delivery are sadly too small. I am growing so differently this time that I am already in LARGE everything just to fit my growing wasteline. It is wonderful feeling her move, I must say I have a little ickling that she may be messed up on days and nights even though I know she doesnt know what they are yet. She is way active from about 7 or 8 at night until the weeeeeee hours of the morning. Some nights she has woken me up while punching my insides. I dont feel her much during the day until I wait too long to eat or drink a soda or something. Ava has had the pleasure of being bumped by her a little bit. Ava will lay her head on my belly as a rest pillow and sometimes I will watch my belly move in waves until Ava is hit in the head. Yes they are beating on each other already. As young as Ava is she calls my belly baby and knows my body is changing. She knows where all the baby stuff is and we are trying to make her understand that it isnt for her, that it is for Hailey. I cannot wait to have her here and my two girls in my arms. I think it will be so much fun having two little girls this close in age. I think I am more anxious now for October than I was for September with Ava just because I know the end product and the love that I will feel as soon as this little girl is brought to me after delivery. It is just amazing. We are so blessed and cannot wait to meet her.

Summer Time
We havent done too much this summer, Ava has had her time in the water and playing with her cousins. But we have had a LOT OF FUN. She has enjoyed her time at home with daddy and helping me clean out rooms and boxes of stuff while we prepare for Hailey's arrival in October. Thought I would share some photos.
She found this while we were cleaning out boxes, she wore it the rest of the evening.

She insisted on having our bed comforter out in the living room so she could lay on it to watch tv. Doesnt she look comfy!?

Riding in the car. Love seeing her with her hat on. She's too cute.

Cousins...
Ava now as a bunch of cousins. For a while it was her and Blake. Now there is a truck load of kids, to haul them all around we would need a van and lots of carseats! But they all love each other and they do get along very well even though 2 are under the age of 6 months.
Ava got a new first cousin on June 4th, Brooklyn, whom she now pretends to talk on the phone to all the time. When she sees Erika, she now gets so exciting, yelling Baby Baby because she knows Brooklyn will be with her.

Little Levi was born in March, he visits down at Ms. Becky's every once in a while and Ava really cares for him and helps while he is there. Becky said last time he visited, Ava helped feed him a bottle and was very patient with him. She is very gentle with these little ones, kissing them on the legs, feet and staying away from their face.

Hailey Grace
Yep thats right, we scheduled an elective ultrasound to find out the gender. We made our way to Gaithersburg just as we did with Ava and enjoyed a 20 minute session of watching this little one move and wiggle while in the womb. Within the first 5 minutes of being on the machine, the tech asked us if we were ready to find out, "Yep". She said it looks like a girl. And pointed out the 3 lines that we were also shown with Ava. Sooooooo excited. Heres some pictures of our beautiful little girl.

20 weeks
Yep, already, half way there. The anxiety and sickness are gone!!! I am finally gaining some weight, I am now a whole pound above my pre pregnancy weight. The baby's heartbeat is a strong 156 and growing like a weed.
We had our scheduled 20 week ultrasound. We got to see our baby move a little, he/she showed us a hand. The head is down in my pelvic area, he/she is really low and rarely kicks above my belly button even though it has plenty of room right now to go where it pleases in there. He/she was in a tight fetal position with it's legs tucked up underneath its belly so we didnt get a look to see the gender. That might not be a bad thing. We are actually now thinking of either doing the elective 2d/3d to find out or even just waiting until the end and being surprised. The baby has given us something to think about.
Brooklyn Renee Bowers
So now I have 2 beautiful nieces. Emily Renee Comer is 4 years old. This past weekend I got to meet Brooklyn Renee Bowers. Her parents, my in-laws, Erika and Kelly Bowers. This little girl made her way into the world I believe as quickly as a first child can. Erika was in labor no more than 12 hours and was cleaned up and in her room by the afternoon. Just at the sight of a picture, I was in love.

Coming in at 20.5 inches, 6 lbs 14 oz, beautiful light brown hair and blue eyes.

Words cannot describe how happy I am for Erika becoming a mom and now putting up with all the fustrations, laughs, cries, puke, baths, feedings, and time just holding Brooklyn to her chest and soothing her with her heartbeat. Those times are magical.
Now it is time to learn Brooklyn's way of doing things. What her cries mean, what her expressions can tell you, when its time to feed, and when its time to give her her space. Newborns are amazing that they come out not able to do alot but able to do so much. Soon Erika and Kelly will just know by a groan what their little girl wants them to do. As trying as the first couple months can be I have all the confidence in them that they will do an awesome job. And they are surrounded by lots of people that love them and their little girl if they ever need anything.
Its going to be a lot of fun being an aunt again. I am able to spoil her but give her back when she begins fussing. It'll be great to see how this little family find their nitch and their way of doing things.
Congrats to Erika and Kelly on becoming parents to Brooklyn Renee. She is beautiful!!!
